United Hub Group Inc

Our story.

United Hub Group Inc. was founded in 2015 by Jarnail Singh Brar in Bakersfield, California, with a focus on trucking, fresh produce, and dependable refrigerated transportation.

Working in California's agricultural heartland, we understand that moving produce takes more than a truck and trailer. It takes careful temperature management, coordination around loading and delivery appointments, and clear communication throughout the trip. That practical experience continues to shape how we serve our customers.

Over the years, we have built lasting relationships with produce growers, food producers, and wholesale distributors — hauling melons, grapes, strawberries, peaches, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, citrus, and other fresh commodities. Our work includes local and regional deliveries throughout California, along with long-haul refrigerated transportation across the United States. From fresh produce to other temperature-sensitive food products, we approach each shipment with attention to the details that matter to our customers.

In 2019, we established United Hub Logistics Inc., our separate freight brokerage company, to expand our ability to coordinate transportation through carrier partners. Together, our trucking and brokerage businesses allow us to serve customers through both our own equipment and a broader transportation network.

Today, United Hub remains an owner-led, family business built on hands-on experience. We understand the challenges of transportation because we work through them ourselves — from equipment maintenance and dispatch to changing schedules and customer requirements.

Our goal is straightforward: earn long-term relationships through reliable service, honest communication, and personal accountability. As we grow, we remain committed to giving every customer the attention and care that helped us build our business from the beginning.

The Journey.

From 2015 in Bakersfield to today — Jarnail's own milestones, in his own words.

2015

Where it all started.

In 2015, Jarnail Singh Brar founded United Hub Group Inc in Bakersfield, California — and this is the truck it all started with. Truck 04, the purple one: his first truck, hauling fresh produce and learning the road the hard way. One truck, big miles, and the beginning of everything United Hub is today. You couldn't miss that truck coming from half a mile back.

Day to day

How we operate.

Reefer-first fleet

Our fleet is built for temperature-controlled freight — setpoint set, verified, and hauled the way produce demands.

Maintained before it's broken

Every unit runs on a scheduled maintenance program. Fewer surprises for our drivers, fewer surprises for our customers.

Family-run, driver-centered

You talk to the people who know the trucks. Drivers aren't a number here — they're the business.

For drivers and carriers

Broke down? Here's help from people we've actually used.

Jarnail built this map over time from shops he trusts — and shared it so other drivers could add to it too. This page is the permanent home of that list.

First things first

When your truck stops, here's the drill.

  1. Get safe, then get seen.

Pull as far off the road as you can, hazards on, triangles and reflectors out. Nothing else matters until you're off the travel lanes.

  2. Note exactly where you are.

Mile marker, exit number, direction of travel. A shop can't roll a wrecker to “somewhere on I-40.”

  3. Check the map below.

These are repair shops we have personal experience with — places we'd send our own trucks. Look for the nearest one and call ahead.

  4. Don't authorize work you don't understand.

Ask for the diagnosis and the price before the wrench turns. If something sounds wrong, say so — and get a second opinion.

The list

Built by drivers, for drivers.

Jarnail started this map himself and has been adding to it over time. He shares it in driver WhatsApp groups — and other drivers add shops they've had good experiences with, so it keeps growing. The shops on it are trusted Indian and Mexican mechanics across the US, along the I-40 and I-80 corridors and beyond, that drivers have actually used.
